Joyworks: The Story of Marquette Electronics and Two Lucky Entrepreneurs

I met Milwaukee philanthropist Mike Cudahy when he engaged me to design his family history book, The Cudahys, An Irish-American Success Story, written by Joseph Kennedy, a cousin of Mike’s living in Ireland. Although I had worked on books for organizations such as the American Bar Association (ABA) and the American Society for Quality (ASQ), this was the first book I designed and produced on my own back in 1995. Mike and I got along so well that he engaged me again in 2002 to design and produce the history he authored about his company, Joyworks: The Story of Marquette Electronics and Two Lucky Entrepreneurs.

5.25 x 8; 248 pages; two editions produced: hardcover with jacket, and softcover; duotone interior; offset lithography; Smythe-sewn binding; published by the Milwaukee County Historical Society.
