Celebrating 100 Years of Genuine Harley and Davidson Family Recipes

More than one hundred years ago, best friends William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson made history when they founded the Harley-Davidson Motor Company and created the first "motorized bicycle." But there's more to the story. Over the last century, the Harley and Davidson families grew up together, celebrating their company's milestones with road trips, hunting and fishing sallies, and lots and lots of eating.

In
Celebrating 100 Years of Genuine Harley and Davidson Family Recipes, two of the founders’ granddaughters, Margo Manning and Carol Lange, present one hundred family recipes tailor-made for home gatherings and roadside picnics. They include: Gilroy Forty-Clove Garlic Chicken, Endurance Run Spinach Pasta Salad, and Grandma Harley's Peach Cobbler. We illustrated the book with historic photos from the Harley and Davidson family photo albums, and commissioned drawings by artist Pamela Scesniak that recreated four of the founders’ important family memories. At my suggestion, we produced a spiral-bound book can easily be used in the kitchen.

Wrote one reviewer: “The graphic design of this book is fantastic! The schematics of Harley parts, as well as photos of the Harleys and Davidsons make this book a must have for lovers of good design, good food, and good stories. I'm happy to see the women of these families honored. A must-have for any cookbook collection!”
