Women Making a Difference: American Association of University Women in Milwaukee, 1894–2012

Women Making a Difference: American Association of University Women in Milwaukee, 1894–2012 chronicles the founding, growth, and accomplishments of one of the most distinguished local branches of the American Association of University Women (AAUW). Author Priscilla Pardini and I spent scores of hours searching through dozens of the association’s scrapbooks and other memorabilia to find the more than 200 images that were used to illustrate the book. Because the original, glossy prints of local newspaper photos that we wanted to use were no longer held in the news organizations’ archives, I scanned and manipulated the old, yellowed, half-toned clippings and decades-old snapshots to tell the story.
